Yesterday's lifeless market, on the very eve of the triple holiday, was plainly foreshadowed by the diminishing business and narrowing price movements of the earlier days of the week. There has of course, been no public participation to speak of in Stock Exchange business for a long time past, and apparently traders on the floor and speculators in the various offices through the Street have at last grown tired of dealing exclusively with one another.
