Adolf Kahlen (* 25. Oktober 1892 in Jever; † 28. Dezember 1959 in Osterode am Harz) war ein deutscher Politiker (FDP).
Nach dem Schulbesuch absolvierte Kahlen eine kaufmännische Lehre, arbeitete anschließend als Textilkaufmann und war bis 1933 in der freiheitlich-nationalen Angestelltenbewegung tätig. Er nahm als Soldat an beiden Weltkriegen teil und übte nach 1945 eine Tätigkeit als Textilkaufmann in Oldenburg aus. Kahlen trat nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg in die FDP ein und war von 1951 bis 1955 Mitglied des Niedersächsischen Landtages.

BALTIMORE, Oct. 24 -- James M. Monroe, one of the ablest lawyers of Annapolis, formerly State Attorney for Anne Arundel County, and for many years a leader in Republican politics, says in an interview published in the News tonight that he will vote for Grover Cleveland. He says:

CHICAGO, Oct. 25 -- Active competition for hogs at the yards, with a good speculative demand for January product, resulted in a general advance in the list pork leading. Lard was rather neglected, and not much interest was shown in ribs; packers, as rule, were buyers, especially of pork, while selling lard and ribs. Scaipers were showing more partiality for January pork, and commission houses seemed to be well supplied with buying orders.

CHICAGO, Oct. 24 -- Under brisk demands from shorts and outsiders, hog product advanced in the speculative market, and then declined when some of the more prominent longs sold freely of everything on the list. The close was firm at about Saturday's prices. January continued to be the favorite mouth for trading. Receipts of product largely confined to meats, were liberal and shipments large.
